We have been working hard to update our website from the bottom to the top. You'll notice our new streamlined look, which we hope will give you more information in less time.
Some of the new features we've added include:
- A new Childcare section.
This section features a listing of registered childcare options for babies, preschoolers and afterschoolers. There are also childcare classifieds where all childcare providers, both licensed and unlicensed, are able to list available spaces. If you have an open space, please login to my fredkid, and list your spaces! - A new calendar.
Our "What's Happening?" section is now our calendar. You can add your own event to the calendar when you are logged in to my fredkid, with an easy to use form. - The all new fredkid directory.
Our "Everything You Need to Know" has been rebranded and completely rebuilt, making it easier to keep up to date, and to translate. In fact, if you own a business or program that is listed on the directory, you can have the ability to add or edit your own entry. You can find out more by clicking here.
The directory also features a new comment/rating system, so you can tell others about your experiences with a particular business or group. This new ability comes with some responsibility for our users. Everybody can have a bad day, so keep that in mind if you have a problem with a particular business or program. All comments will be moderated, and may be edited for content. We won't block bad reviews, but we do hope you can be constructive in your criticism. - The fredkid Family of the Month.
A new feature will introduce you to families we know, what activities they like to do with their children, and how they use fredkid. - No "registered only" content pages.
We strive to have a completely open user experience. We now only require registration to our website to submit to our calendar or our directory, or to post comments or ratings. - A better user registration system.
We recognize that some people have had problems registering, and were getting quite frustrated with the procedure. So, we've improved our system to try to eliminate those problems. A new feature is that you can only register one account to one e-mail address. If your e-mail is already in the system, but you forget your username or password, you can fill out a form to get them by e-mail. - More features on the way...
